Wimbledon 2008

The New King

Finally a new king has arrived at Wimbledon. Roger Federer has finally been dethroned after 5 years at the pinnacle of grass courts supremacy. All hail Rafael Nadal who defeated Federer 6-4, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 6-7 (8-10), 9-7.

Its no big deal you say? Well it is a big deal considering Nadal had just blasted Federer off the courts into oblivion at the French Open, on CLAY. It was also the longest-ever Wimbledon men finals match at 4 hrs and 48 mins.

The final started too late and I only managed to catch the 1st 2 sets. But I'm very happy nonetheless because I won $5 on this match. Haha. Pay up pay up!
