Last night we went to watch Mamma Mia The Movie. An adaptation of the famous musical based on the songs of ABBA.
It was quite entertaining and the script was utterly hilarious. Just that sometimes it feels like watching a Bollywood movie.
It's just a normal scene, everyone is walking around doing normal stuff around the island. Out of the blue everyone suddenly breaks into a song and dance, jumping behind the trees occasionally, in the true spirit of Bollywood movies. ;p
I felt the story line was quite weak, with the entire story solely based on the wedding of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) and her intention of finding out her true dad out of 3 possible candidates.
Sophie found out about them in her mum's diary and decided to invite the 3 of them to her wedding. So the story unfolds ....
The highlight of the movie had to be the location, which was cast in the heavenly and mesmerizing Skopelos Island. It had to be the ideal location for a beach wedding. I wished I could hold my wedding there.
