Zimbabwe recently released a new $250 million note, which roughly translates to only 3 loaves of bread. It is the result of the country's inflation rate reaching 165,000 %. 5 bananas cost an astonishing $100 million.

Now that's what we call a "millionaire" country. :P

Poor kitty

A British man killed his neighbour's cat because it smirked at him. He punched 2 year old cat Chopper in the head and hurled it into a river, claiming it had been bullying him.

Dougal Thorn, 41 said Chopper the cat "'looked pleased" after knocking over a vase of flowers in his living room. He claimed the cat menaced him in his own home and bullied his landlady's cat Barney.

Talk about insanity and cruelty. I hope the cat returns to haunt him.

Closer to home, Penang's sharia court ruled that Siti Fatimah Tan Abdullah was free to return to Buddhism, following the collapse of her marriage to a Muslim man.

The rightful decision was made based on the fact that she had not had proper counselling during her conversion.

For the 1st time, I feel that the lawmakers in our country reached a equitable decision.
