Am back in Sydney now. The weather is very cold now.
Tried to walk outside in T-shirt, nearly froze to death. I think I prefer the sun in Malaysia, cold weather is very gloomy. ;(
Last Friday was the 13th. Went to work as usual, then went to gym.
Fortunately, nothing unfortunate happened.
I weighed myself at the gym. Heavier by 2kgs after gorging non-stop on food for 2 wks. Bugger. Strangely I was 2kgs lighter in Malaysia. Is there a scientific explanation for this?
We tried some new dishes yesterday.
The recipe for this is from the cook book. Lazy to retype.
Surprisingly it turned out quite good. But it had too much coconut taste. Could be due to the dried grated coconut. No fresh ones over here. Note to self, "try with fresh one next time"
It's 85% similar. Just have to get the tiny little bits right.

Recipe: Butter Prawn
Ingredients
1 lb large prawns
Oil for deep frying
3 tablespoons butter
6 bird's eye chilies (chopped)
3 sprigs of curry leaves (use only the leaves)
3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chinese cooking wine (rice wine preferred)
6 tablespoons of grated coconut (dry fried until golden brown)
Leave the prawn heads and shells on but chop off the eyes part. Slit down the back to remove the veins. Pat dry. Heat oil and deep fry the prawns. Drain and set aside.
Melt the butter, add bird's eye chilies, curry leaves, garlic, salt and fry for 2 minutes or until fragrant. Add prawns, sugar, soy sauce, wine, and grated coconut. Cook over high heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently. Serve immediately.

Today we had Herbal Chicken Soup, Sardines and Leek.
We planned to go shopping today, financial year end sales going on now. But it keeps on raining.
Btw it's Father's Day today. I've just found out yesterday different countries celebrate Father's Day on different dates. Stupid right?
Check the dates for your countries HERE to avoid getting mixed up.
