KFC Twister

Twister

This is the new TWISTER from KFC. It is available at all KFC outlets around Australia for $4.95. The availability of it in Singapore/Malaysia is uncertain at time of press.

It is basically KFC chicken in a skin wrap ala sandwich style snack. We opted for the Honey BBQ Glaze. The other taste is Sweet Chilli flavour.

Unpacked - looks a bit mashed

You have the option of either consuming it cold, or have it heated up for your eating pleasure. We went for the heated up option as "HOT" is the only decent way to eat KFC's signature chicken.

Our TWISTER came in a crumpled pile of skin, with what seems to be black ash on one side and salad oozing out the other. Aesthetically speaking, it ain't pretty.

However, the aroma of the famous chicken drifted out as soon as the wrapping came off.

Take a bite

The fillings consist of fresh salad topped with pepper mayo and 100% breast fillet chicken strip. Take a bite and feel the freshness of the salad, mixed with the tender chicken strips and the soft warmed tortilla skin.

The TWISTER resembles the "Snack Wrap" from Mcdonalds. One thing to note is that there is no taste of honey at all.

The crunchy texture makes it a good snack. However I'd still prefer eating KFC's chicken as a chicken. Not mixed with other ingredients which steals the limelight away.

After all KFC is all about the chicken isn't it?
