The next morning we woke up around 7+ and had our complimentary breakfast. We were excited as today's going to be all out shopping spree at the mother of all markets.
The complimentary breakfast was prepared and served on Level 18 at the Sky Lounge. We had our coupons checked by an attentive staff before being ushered into either of the 2 doors, which both lead into the restaurant.
The restaurant had full length glass fitted all around, offering customers a peek at a 360 degrees view of the city. After taking in the night view, now's the chance for the day view, which suited us fine.
The tables and chairs look and feel used, much like the curtains and bed sheets in the rooms. ;( But taking in the sunlight beaming through the glass while taking in the view was a great way to start the day.
The Sky Lounge doubles up as a western restaurant at night. Had a peek at the menu, hardly enterprising.
It was an ABF (American Breakfast) which is basically identical to major hotels all around the globe. The few memorable items are the scrumptiously prepared omelettes and the pork sausages.
This is me before the meal. I vanished for approximately 10 mins after lapping up all the food. It is often said that people disappear mysteriously for an infinite amount of time in Bangkok. Some lucky ones come back while the unlucky ones fade away into oblivion ....
I was the lucky few who returned. However all memories of the incident had been erased from my membrane. The only scars from the ordeal was a slight drop in weight (about 300g) and a sore backside.
